1. As an amulet, place it in the place where you want to energetically protect. 
2. Light it with matches or a candle, gently waving it to fumigate the selected space. When the quartz comes off, save it as an amulet and continue lighting the rest. 
3. To extinguish, press it against the ground or in salt.
